Something happened between verse 1 and verse 2 that could have been as long
as millions of years or much longer. The Earth became
confused, without form, and empty. There
was only darkness on the face of life in and on the sea. The Ruach (Spirit) of Elohim was hovering
over the sea that had turned into living water.
Elohim said come light. Elohim
inspected the light and after discerning it, He determined it was good. He then put this light into and between the darkness. You could say it is like our flesh being
darkness and He places His light within us.
He called the light Day so we will always know that the Day comes right
after darkness. He called the darkness Night
so we are to know He protects us from the gloom, in His shadow. If we stay in His shadow, we will climb the
cycles of ladder and grow upwards toward Him and His rest in that narrow place.
It is the same for the moon shining and
reflecting the sun alone in dark space to a dark Earth. It is little lonely Yisrael shining in the
middle of a sea of dark nations. This is
the life of a person made righteous by the blood of Messiah. This is the life of every believer who walks
with Yehovah and His Son.
DLZ בְּרֵאשִׁית הָיָה הַדָּבָר וְהַדָּבָר הָיָה אֵת
הָאֱלֹהִים וֵאלֹהִים הָיָה הַדָּבָר׃
YOCHANAN (John) 1:1-17
1 “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with Elohim, and the Word
was Elohim. 2 He was in the beginning with Elohim.
3 All things came into being by Him, and apart from Him nothing came into being that has come into being.
4 In Him was life, and the life was the light of men.
5 And the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend it.
6 There came a man, sent from Elohim, whose name was Yochanan.
7 He came for a witness, that he might bear witness of the light, that all might believe through him.
8 He was not the light, but came that he might bear witness of the light.
9 There was the true light which, coming into the world, enlightens every man.
10 He was in the world, and the world was made through Him, and the world did not know Him.
11 He came to His own, and those who were His own did not receive Him.
12 But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of Elohim, to those who believe in His name,
13 who were born not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of Elohim.
14 And the Word became flesh, and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, glory as of the only begotten from the Father, full of grace and truth.
15 Yochanan bore witness of Him, and cried out, saying, "This was He of whom I said, 'He who comes after me has a higher rank than I, for He existed before me.'"
16 For of His fulness we have all received, and grace upon grace.
17 For the Torah was given through Moshe; grace and truth were fully joined, accomplished, and came into being through Yeshua HaMashiach.
